A decade after the blockbuster release of Baahubali, the long-standing controversy surrounding Sridevi's exit from the film has been reignited. The only request, according to Boney, was to schedule long filming stints during the children's holidays.

Sridevi later responded in an interview, stating that such behavior was not in her nature and that her career of over 50 years would not have been possible with such demands.
