"I was so angry," she recalled. "He didn't notice that I wasn't eating mangoes for two days, so he could eat. He asked, 'What's the problem?' And I just started crying. I asked, 'How do you think we are buying groceries?'"

This raw, emotional outburst made Ayushmann realize the gravity of their financial situation and the immense burden Tahira had been carrying alone. He questioned why she hadn't asked him for help. Tahira explained that she simply couldn't bring herself to, and that the responsibility of household expenses should be a shared one.
