Indian actress Rukmini Vasanth was born on December 10, 1996, and she primarily performs in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada movies. Her first film was Birbal (2019). The two-part romance drama Sapta Saagaradaache Ello, which Rukmini received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Kannada, was her big break.

 

In 2019, Rukmini debuted alongside M. G. Srinivas in the Kannada film Birbal Trilogy.

 

In the commercially successful 2023 films Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side A and Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side B, Rukmini played Priya opposite Rakshit Shetty. The New Indian Express's Sharadhaa wrote, "Rukmini effortlessly emerges as the luminary, and she doles out a remarkable performance as Priya," She had an appearance in Baanadariyalli that same year, opposite Ganesh.

 

In 2025, she ventured into Tamil film with Ace, portraying the character of Rukku opposite Vijay Sethupathi, and Madharaasi, directed by A. R. Murugadoss, co-starring Sivakarthikeyan. Although the movie had mediocre reviews overall, it did have good word-of-mouth, and her acting was especially praised. Her next project is Kantara: Chapter 1, which is a prelude to the 2022 movie Kantara. She also co-stars with actor Yash and an ensemble cast in Geetu Mohandas's Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
