A master director, Rohit Shetty produced several successful films before to the 2011 release of Singham, the first entry in his cop universe. The franchise was thereafter successful thanks to movies like Singham Returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi, and Singham Again. The director discussed creating the Simmba and Sooryavanshi sequels in a recent interview. He also talked candidly about Tiger Shroff and Deepika Padukone's spin-offs in his universe.

Rohit Shetty explained the creation of his cop world following the success of his most recent movie, Singham Again. The director said in an interview with Game Changers that they had no idea Singham would become such a big brand when they made it.

They later considered turning Simmba into a world when developing the screenplay because they also intended to create Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar.

Speaking about expanding his franchise, he disclosed, "Simmba ka bhi part 2 hoga, Sooryavanshi bhi aage badhegi. Aur bhi log aaenge. Aur bhi fillmein banengi cop universe mein. So, isliye we created that universe. (There will be a Part 2 of Simmba. We will also take Sooryavanshi forward. More people will join, and more movies will be made. So, that's why we created that cop universe.)"

In the same interview, Shetty disclosed that they had intended to create a multi-star movie similar to Singham Again back in 2019 while they were filming Sooryavanshi. They already knew how their plots would develop and how to add new characters.

Furthermore, every actor who joined the 2024 action movie was aware that each newcomer, including Tiger Shroff and Deepika Padukone, would have their own path. "So, it's not just that they are coming for 10-15 minutes and after that they don't have work," he revealed.
