While an official announcement from the makers is still awaited, reports have been circulating for a while that
Salman Khan has finalized a project with Lakhia, marking their first collaboration. The film is believed to be a patriotic action-drama, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed book "India's Most Fearless 3," which chronicles events surrounding the Galwan Valley clash.
Apoorva Lakhia's Instagram stories showed him posing with his team on a flight, followed by pictures at Leh airport upon their arrival. These visuals align perfectly with earlier reports that the film would be shot in Ladakh, along with extensive sets in Mumbai. Sources close to the production have indicated that the team is indeed scouting locations, with a 70-day shooting schedule planned to commence in July 2025.
This project is particularly significant as it would see Salman Khan portray a full-fledged army officer for the first time in his career. Reports suggest he will essay the heroic role of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, who tragically lost his life during the Galwan Valley skirmish. The screenplay has been adapted by Suresh Nair, in collaboration with Chintan Gandhi and Chintan Shah, who also penned the dialogues. Salman Khan has reportedly been impressed by the script and has already begun physical training for the demanding role at his Panvel farmhouse.
