Haseen Dillruba, starring
Taapsee Pannu and
Vikrant Massey, was released in 2018. After almost six years,
Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, the film's sequel, is about to wow fans with
Sunny Kaushal as the newest cast member. Concurrently, the actress from Khel Khel Mein disclosed in a recent interview whether a third installment of the movie is planned.
It is noteworthy that
Taapsee Pannu and
Kanika Dhillon will be working together on Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, their fifth project together following
Manmarziyaan, Haseen Dillruba,
Rashmi Rocket, and
Dunki.
When asked if a third Haseen Dillruba movie is planned at a recent media conference, Taapsee joked that, unlike her co-stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal, she doesn't read a lot. But for the third segment of the movie, she gave Kanika the book Malice.
"Hopefully, Haseen Dillruba baar baar aati rahegi and kabhi jaaye hi na (Haseen Dillruba will keep coming and never go). You’ll see a lot of collaborations between me and Kanika in the future as well. Now we’re thinking of so many things that we can do together," she further revealed.
She also expressed her admiration for Kanika Dhillon's work, saying that her USP is her ability to create relatable "gray" ladies. The actress said she came to understand that Dhillon could get her to do anything. She remembered that she worked on Haseen Dillruba after Manmarziyaan, and the brand became "very close" to her heart.
"She writes my kind of relatable women so well. These are the women who’ll make mistakes but will own up to them and will be honest about the fact that they did something wrong," she stated.
Furthermore, Taapsee stated that their errors are never covered up "under the garb of heroism." The actor from Khel Khel Mein emphasized how the protagonists of the writer have a lovely trait of being both vulnerable and gray at the same time. She praised Kanika's writing approach and acknowledged that as a writer-actor team, they get along great.
Jayprad Desai is the director of the much awaited Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, which stars Taapsee Pannu,
Vikrant Massey,
Sunny Kaushal, and
Jimmy Shergill. The movie, which was directed by T-Series Films and Colour Yellow Productions and written by Kanika Dhillon, will be available to stream on Netflix starting on August 9.
